The National Craft Assessment and Certification Program (NCACP)

The National Craft Assessment and Certification Process (NCACP) was developed to assess the competence level of experienced workers who have no formal documentation of their training.

NCACP evaluates journey-level knowledge and skills of experienced craftspeople. The core competencies for all assessments are NCCER's Contren® Learning Series standardized curricula.

The assessments may be used for:

  • Both “pre-employment” or  “post-training” testing

  • Identifying the training needs of your employees.  A training prescription is provided to all assessed workers. The prescription provides a targeted training plan to assist workers in elevating their knowledge and skill level.

Only NCCER-Accredited Assessment Centers, like AGC of Oklahoma – Building Chapter, may order and administer the journey-level assessments.
