AGC Build Oklahoma Awards . . . . Build Oklahoma Awards provide members with the opportunity to promote and show-off the best commercial building projects built in Oklahoma and to nominate an individual or firm for special recognition. Awards are presented at the AGC of Oklahoma’s Annual Awards Banquet in January. Photos of all entries are shown in a slide show during the evening banquet. Submission is December 18th annually.
Special Recognition . . . . Build Oklahoma entry forms include an opportunity to nominate a firm for Subcontractor, Supplier, or Service Provider of the Year, or an individual or firm for a Special Industry Appreciation Award. Nominations are made by completing the appropriate line on a Build Oklahoma entry form or by contacting the AGC Staff. Submission is December 18th annually.
Builder of the Year . . . . Nominees for Oklahoma Builder of the Year are those individuals who have shown the highest quality professional skills and clearly reflect the principles of conduct of the AGC. “Confidential” nominations for AGC Builder of the Year are submitted to the AGC Staff. Submission deadline is December 18th annually.
AGC of Oklahoma Annual Safety Awards Program: The AGC of Oklahoma’s Annual Safety Awards Program was established to help recognize and reward deserving employees for maintaining & promoting a safe jobsite. All members of the AGC of Oklahoma are eligible to participate in this program at no cost.
Safety Award Recipients receive a Certificate of Safety Excellence along with multi-year plaque. Annual “stickers” are provided for the multi-year plaques in subsequent years. Awards are presented at the May Luncheon Meetings, or can be delivered to the member’s office. If preferred, presentation will be made to employees at a time and place of the employer’s choosing.
To participate, firms should complete and return a Safety Awards Recipient Worksheet for all employees they choose to recognize. Submission deadline is April 30th annually.
National AGC Build America Awards . . . . National AGC Build America Awards showcase the best construction projects in the U.S. All projects submitted must have been completed between November 1 through October 31 of the submission year. Small and large projects are considered equally—innovation and distinctiveness tend to define the most highly regarded entries and help determine Aon Build America Award Winners. National AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA). . . . AGC’s CSEA program recognizes companies that have developed and implemented premier safety and loss prevention programs. The program also showcases companies that have achieved continuous improvements and maintenance of their safety and health management systems.
Participants are required to complete the application forms and submit them to their local AGC Chapter. The AGC Chapters then select finalists in each category (if applicable) and submits those recommendations to AGC of America. Members of the AGC Safety & Health Committee review the Chapter's submittals at their winter meeting. The finalists in each category will compete at the AGC National Convention for either a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place award. Finalists will have an opportunity to give an oral presentation in front of five judges. The first, second and third place awards will be determined after oral presentations. The winners will be announced at the Willis Safety Awards Breakfast during the National AGC Annual Convention.
Application forms must be completed and submitted properly for applicants to be considered for the CSEA. Improper completion may result in disqualification or a deduction in points toward the applicant's overall score which is used to determine finalists. In addition to properly completing and submitting the application, applications must be accompanied by a nomination letter from the applicant's respective chapter and a $200.00 application fee. The application and instructions are available on the National AGC Website: www.agc.org. You may complete the entire application on-line, print and sign; then submit the application to the AGC of Oklahoma with your $200.00 fee – payable to AGC of America. The deadline to submit your CSEA application to the AGC of Oklahoma is November 15th annually.
