The Office of Management & Enterprise Services (OMES) has notified contractors that it is moving to an electronic bidding system. We have been working with the provider to provide some entry level training on the system with Bid Express. The system will be used on construction management projects.
The Bid Express service will allow bidders to prepare and send a web-based, sealed, secure proposal directly to OMES. The service performs math extensions, checks to ensure you haven’t missed any required information, automatically applies addenda, and allows you to change, resubmit or withdraw your bid right up to the bid deadline. The training team will train bidders on registering with the service, creating bidding credentials, finding projects, completing and submitting bids, and will be able to answer any questions you might have.
The Bid Express service, owned and operated by Info Tech, Inc., and in service since 1997, has been used by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority since 2014. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has used a version of the service since 2004. Info Tech recently won an RFP to provide the service statewide, so we should see more state and local agencies around Oklahoma offering this capability in the coming months.
